Please be patient as we finalize plans for our 2022 season. |
Chamber music has something for everyone - melodies, some soothing, some soaring, some simply beautiful; harmonic progressions that can take you to far away regions but always return you safely home again; story-telling without the need for words; a kaleidoscope of instrumental colors that can entice locked emotions to the surface.
Plans are now being finalized for the 2022 Season of classical and contemporary chamber music concerts presented by the Meeting House Chamber Music Festival. Orleans, Massachusetts has been the primary location of the Festival since its inception, with the addition of satellite concerts in towns throughout Cape Cod.
In accordance with its original mission, the Meeting House Festival brings musicians of highest caliber to Cape Cod to present concerts in intimate settings and always in collaboration with Cape Cod musicians.
This summer, the Meeting House Festival celebrates nearly five decades of chamber music in Orleans, MA. Beginning June 20th with a curious and musically satisfying program featuring Boston-based horn player Clark Matthews, the 2022 series spans six weeks, with music by Brahms (Trio, op.8), Beethoven ("Ghost" Trio), piano quartets of Mozart, Schumann, and Frank Bridge, Halvorsen (Passacaglia for violin and cello), Saint Saens, Strauss, Granados, Andre Previn, Antonio Soler, Amy Beach, James MacMillan, and many others. French horn, violin, cello, harp, viola, 9 foot Baldwin piano...
